How To: Increase sword hardness

Pause the game, then hold R1 + R2 and press Right(2), Left(2), Down, Up, Circle. The main player's currently equipped sword will increase in hardness by one. Repeat as needed to reach the maximum hardness of five. Note: This cannot be done in versus mode.
